Bed Bugs and Coronavirus Tips and Recommendations from Premo Guard Bed Bug & Mite Spray

Having to deal with bed bugs and coronavirus has got to feel like you’re living through the times of biblical plagues.

The stress of trying the get rid of a bed bug or mite infestation is enough to give a person, and their families PTSD like trauma.  Add to that the Covid-19 quarantine and it’s enough to push some people to the brink of sanity.

WE KNOW ABOUT BED BUG, CORONAVIRUS STRESS FROM FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE…

We know this for a fact as for the last few months we have been speaking to our bed bug and mite customers, keeping them calm, holding hands, reassuring them and generally doing what we can to lower their stress.

From these conversations we are having with our customers, we have put together a few tips and recommendations that can help

Bed Bug Survival Tips in the Time of Coronavirus.

Your vacuum is a necessary resource.

Make sure you vacuum often as you treat your home for bed bugs.  This alone can remove many bed bugs, nymphs (babies) and eggs.

Know where your bed bugs are coming from.

Since we aren’t likely traveling right now, a prime source of hitchhiking bed bugs coming home with you, you need to spot the other ways bed bugs come into your home.

If you live in an apartment building, bed bugs may be coming from other apartments that are next to yours.  Since bed bugs are small, they can easily pass through walls.  Look for signs of openings in your walls (even your ceiling) that make easy pathways and cover them up.  Also check electrical outlets for signs of openings and fix, cover up or replace outlets as needed.

Other sources of bed bugs include used furniture and clothing.  Make sure you fully inspect any and all used items you bring home for bed bugs before you bring them inside.  (we have a recommendation for this, see below

BUT WHAT ABOUT BED BUG TREATMENTS?

What to do if you get bed bugs during coronavirus lockdown?

EXTERMINATOR IN MY HOME, VS SOCIAL DISTANCING AND QUARANTINE?

Often when people get bed bugs, their first reaction is to get an exterminator to come in and treat the home.  Unfortunately, with the pandemic in full swing and social distancing in effect, many people are scared to let someone into their homes to do treatments.

THOUSANDS FOR AN EXTERMINATOR WHEN I LOST MY JOB?

And of course, with so many folks losing their jobs, being furloughed etc., the money needed to pay thousands of dollars to an exterminator for bed bugs means some very difficult choices need to be made.

Fortunately, there is an effective alternative to expensive in-home exterminators.

Our company, Premo Guard, offers a bed bug spray that is so effective, it has been used and recommended (in just a few short years) by nearly 40,000 customers.  It has also been independently tested and proven to have a 100% kill rate by University of Florida’s Entomology Department (the study is on file on our website).

And it is pesticide-free, eco-friendly and safe around kids and pets (when used as directed of course).

It’s Odorless and Stain FREE too, so it’s perfect on clothes (used or new), fabrics, beds, pillow, duvets, etc.

HOW PREMO GUARD WORKS (IF YOU ALREADY HAVE BED BUGS)

PRO TIP: USE 2 OUNCES OF PREMO GUARD AS A LAUNDRY ADDITIVE TO KILL ANY BED BUGS OR MITES IN YOUR BEDDING AND CLOTHES.

HOW PREMO GUARD BED BUG & MITE KILLER WORKS (FOR USED FURNITURE, AND CLOTHES)

For treating used clothing for potential bed bugs
