Dust mites are microscopic insects that feed on components of dust.  Simply put much of the dust you see in your home is made up of dead skin cells that fall off your body.  Contrary to what you might have heard, they don’t bite you, and they don’t get under your skin (burrow) and live.

  1. Keep the humidity of your home below 50%.

  3. For hard floors use a wet mop to capture all of the dust mites. Just sweeping up can actually cause dust and dust mites to become airborne and breathable.
